Staff-Assisted Home Hemodialysis

No training is necessary with Staff-Assisted Home Hemodialysis, an experienced Nurse will come to your house to provide your Dialysis treatment. He or she will be responsible for all aspects of your care from drawing lab work, performing your dialysis treatment, to ordering your supplies.

If you qualify for home dialysis, one of our team members will visit your home to evaluate the environment. You will need a room to perform your treatments and an appropriate water source. You will also need enough storage space to accommodate a minimum of two weeks of dialysis supplies, which is approximately 40 cubic feet.

With Staff-Assisted Home Hemodialysis, you can pick what time of day you would like your treatment.  No more worries about fighting traffic or bad weather while traveling to the clinic. You will be able to dialyze in the comfort of your own home.

Our patients also have the benefit of participation in the monthly Patient Care Conference (PCC).  The monthly PCC meeting encompasses input from the Nephrologist, Dietician, and Social Worker.   All who work in conjunction to provide an individual plan of care catered specifically to your needs

Staff-Assisted Home Dialysis provides a consistency of care which results in improved clinical outcomes.  Usually, you will have the same caregiver with every treatment which gives you the comfort in knowing that you caregiver is familiar with your health care needs.

It has been proven that, home dialysis patients generally live longer, benefit from better overall health, and enjoy a higher quality of life than patients on other methods of dialysis.
